National Express and megabus services
from a wide choice of destinations serve Newcastle upon Tyne. Bargain fares may be available on selected coach routes.
DFDS Seaways operate daily overnight roll-on/roll-off ferry crossings from IJmuiden
near Amsterdam to North Shields. Bus connections and taxis between the ferry terminal and Newcastle city centre are available for foot passengers.
The nearest airport is Newcastle International Airport which is served by flights from
UK and major European cities. UK domestic flights may be cheaper than rail travel.
By local transport:
Numerous buses serve the local and surrounding area. Both the city's bus stations (Haymarket and Eldon Square), the termini for most services are close
to the tournament venue. Closest metro stations are Monument and Central. Quaylink services Q1, Q2 and Q3 pass the venue.
